Mid Florida Surgery Center, established in 1992 and the Surgery Center of the Villages, established in 2008, was the first surgery center dedicated solely to eyes, in both the Mount Dora and Stonecrest area. Each surgery center is accredited by the AAAHC and Accredited Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Each facility is staffed with well-respected physicians and highly qualified staff. Registered nurses with Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification are always in attendance with our patients throughout their surgical process. We dedicated our efforts to providing the best quality eye care in Lake, Sumter and Marion County and all surrounding areas. We look forward to serving you.
Governor Scott has signed into law House Bill 1175 regarding Transparency in Health Care. The new law includes several provisions affecting the regulation of licensed providers for more information: Visit My Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
Services may be provided in this health care facility by the facility as well as by other health care providers who may separately bill the patient and who may or may not participate with the same health insurers or health maintenance organizations as the facility.
Patients and prospective patients may request from this facility and other health care providers a more personalized estimate of charges and other information. Patients and prospective patients should contact each health care practitioner who will provide services in the ASC to determine the health insurers and health maintenance organizations with which the health care practitioner participates as a network provider or preferred provider.
Please be sure to contact your health insurer or health maintenance organization for additional information concerning cost-sharing responsibilities. The service bundle information is a non-personalized estimate of costs that may be incurred by the patient for anticipated services. Actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient. Additional data on health care costs on a local, national and state level can be found on the State of Florida Health Care Transparency website.
