Mid Florida Eye Center’s Dr. Jeffrey Baumann recently performed the first cataract surgery in Central Florida using PanOptix®, a newly FDA-approved trifocal intraocular lens. PanOptix is the first and only trifocal lens for U.S. cataract patients clinically shown to deliver improved vision at varied distances. Dr. Baumann was one of the 12 primary investigators in the FDA study that contributed to the approval of this lens. He and Mid Florida Eye Center surgeons have been selected to perform many of the research studies for advanced implants now used in the United States.
